Imaje and food traceability |
||
Food traceability is defined as the ability to trace the lifecycle of a product, that is when and where it was manufactured and sold. Legislators in Europe and the USA have imposed strict laws and regulations regarding food traceability. Though often quite different, these regulations put the stress on the consumer’s right to detailed food labelling and food traceability. This would inform the consumer of the origin of the purchased products and the date of its production, information that is considered necessary for many consumers.
